Do you have a minute?  How much time do you have?  How much did you start with and how much did you have left over?  What happens when you run out of time?  What is the best and worst way to use your time?

Albert Einstein said, "The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." I wonder if he would have said the same thing if he was living in 2013 when the speed of technology makes us feel that everything is suppose to happen at once.

Using time, being mindful of time, trying not to run out of time, taking less time, stalling for time, making time more valuable.  We are all guilty of bad habits when it comes to time. I have a few culprits that I have learned to solve using these remedies.

Putting off time intensive and dreaded projects. Take one small step toward a twenty minute goal.  You might find that you get absorbed and before you know it the project is done!

Taking on too much work.  Do you end up paralyzed because you have too much to do?  Ask yourself if the project fulfills your goals.  If not, say no, or find a way to delegate it.

Spending too much time on each project.  Assign each task a stop time.  You will work more efficiently if you know that you have a limited amount of time to complete the work.

Saving the worst for last.  Use your most alert time to get the least enjoyable and most challenging work out of the way.  When you are less alert, working on more interesting tasks might just wake you up!

Becoming impatient.  This is the one I like the best.  Be kind to yourself, and to those around you.  It is impossible to get everything done, every day, all the time.

When will you have time to put one or more these into practice?  I do not recommend making time to change them all at once.  Try one at a time, see how much time it takes, and try to figure out how much time you saved!

At last, remember:

Legal Search & Management, Inc. can save you time ...
